The local BLA fishing report says the fishing is still great. Anglers will have to search in a little deeper water for walleyes at this time of the year. 15-23 feet have been an active range. Leeches and redtail shiners have been the ticket for live bait. Another method late in the summer months that works well is trolling small crankbaits.
