Denise Schultz

Denise, a native of southwest Minnesota, grew up spending her summers at her family’s lake cabin on Lake Carlos in Alexandria, MN. Her passion for hospitality began early, working at Arrowwood Resort while attending Alexandria Technical College. She later transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where she earned a degree in Hospitality and Tourism.

With deep roots in the hospitality industry, Denise's career has spanned numerous roles and locations. Her parents owned a restaurant and catering business, which fostered her lifelong connection to the industry. She spent much of her professional career in Chicago, where she held key positions with Kimpton Hotels and Resorts, including Area Director of Sales and Marketing, and was the opening Director of the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Chicago. Denise also served as Director of Group Sales for HEI Hotels and Resorts, where she led the sales strategy for professional sports teams at The Whitley and The Gwen, two Luxury Collection Hotels.

Denise's journey brought her back to Minnesota as the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing at Grand View Lodge, a role she has passionately fulfilled for the past three years. Her return to her home state reflects her commitment to contributing to the hospitality community where she began.

Outside of her professional life, Denise enjoys adventure travel with her husband, Andrew. They are avid kayakers, golfers, and hikers, having embarked on a five-month RV adventure that took them through 14 states, 14 national parks, and over 14,000 miles. As a vacation homeowner herself, owning two mountain cabins in North Carolina, Denise is excited to bring her expertise and passion to serve our owners, rental community, and associates.

With a genuine heart for hospitality, Denise thrives in the fast-paced, ever-evolving nature of the industry. She believes that every travel experience is about creating memorable moments, and she is dedicated to making each guest's stay special in any way she can.
