Raised 5 feet by the construction of Gull Lake Dam in 1912, Gull Lake is now 80 feet at its deepest point. Overall, the lake is roughly 8 miles long and 3 miles across at its widest, covering an area of more than 9,000 acres. The lake's southernmost points are enclosed by Wilson's and Steamboat Bay.
