HEAD NORTH FOR THE 4TH

For me, the 4th of July brings to mind nostalgic memories of Lake Country; small town parades, pork on a stick, sunburned skin from too much lake time. The energy, excitement and pure bliss in this area, especially over the 4th of July is nothing short of contagious - once you experience “the 4th up north”, it’s just something you want to be a part of, over and over again. Even once we moved out of the area, year after year we would “head up north” or return home to celebrate the 4th of July - it’s where we always wanted to be. We love celebrating these childhood memories over and over and now we have the opportunity to pass these traditions on to our own little family.

Holiday events such as these are important to us on so many levels. They resonate with us so much because not only does it give our little communities the opportunity to unite and celebrate together but it also shows our out-of-town clients, vacationers, and guests why we all live here, why we are proud to call the Brainerd Lakes Area home and why we never want to leave. From -30 to 90 degrees and humid, this is home and we wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Most importantly, the 4th of July is our opportunity to slow down, to reflect on what we have in life, and to be thankful for our freedom and our independence as Americans. Living in Lake Country is nothing short of being free; free to roam the woods, free to enjoy the lakes, free take in nature’s beauty.  We are blessed to live in God’s Country. Wherever you are this Independence Day, please take the time to appreciate what freedom means to you.

Celebrate the 4th in the North:

The Brainerd Lakes Area offers something for everyone - whether you’re looking to kick back at the lake or be in the heart of the celebratory action, we’ve got you covered. There are tons of things happening in all the surrounding Brainerd Lakes Communities, no matter where you call home!
