What is Lakes Area Heroes?

Hey everyone, this is Isaiah Moengen, and I'm proud to introduce you to Lakes Area Heroes, a non-profit organization that I founded. I also happen to be an agent with Woods to Water Real Estate, but today, I want to share a little-known part of my life that has been incredibly meaningful to me. Lakes Area Heroes is more than just an organization; it's a passion project that emerged from my deep connection to the community and my upbringing as the child of a firefighter, paramedic, and first responder. I have a profound love for my family and my community, and through Lakes Area Heroes, I've found a way to bring these two passions together to support our local heroes.

Before I delve into what we do at Lakes Area Heroes, let me share a bit about our journey. It all began with identifying a need within our community and researching if there was an organization locally that addressed this need. What sets Lakes Area Heroes apart from other non-profits is our unwavering focus on directly assisting our heroes and their families.

Our Mission

Our mission at Lakes Area Heroes is clear and heartfelt: we are here to support Law Enforcement, Firefighters, and EMS personnel along with their families during times of need. We believe in the power of unity and community support, and our goal is to rally our community to give back to these local heroes when they face challenging circumstances. This involves raising funds and mobilizing volunteers to provide assistance during these difficult times.

Our Impact So Far

Since our inception, we've had the privilege of helping over a dozen local heroes during their most trying moments. One of our earliest donations was made to a Cass County sheriff deputy whose wife was battling cancer. What many people might not realize is the considerable financial burden that comes with an illness, and this is where Lakes Area Heroes steps in. We are here to alleviate some of that burden and ensure that our heroes can focus on what matters most - their loved ones and their recovery.

We understand that these heroes put their lives on the line every day to protect our community, and it's our honor and duty to provide support when they need it most.
