BUILDERS NEEDED: NEW CONSTRUCTION LAKE HOME!

AN INITIATIVE FOR NISSWA CITY OF LIGHTS, LEAD BY WOODS TO WATER REAL ESTATE + COPPER CREEK

Woods to Water Real Estate, partnered with Copper Creek Landscaping and we are here to spread the holiday cheer. This year, at the 40th annual Nisswa City of Lights Festival, Nisswa Chamber has gone to new levels and challenged businesses to decorate in a gingerbread theme.

Introducing the “Tour of Gingerbread Homes”, a friendly competition between Builders, Architects, and other businesses. Copper Creek Landscaping and Woods to Water will be creating a lake community, which wouldn’t be complete without participation from the local community of professionals. Please join us in celebrating the season with a friendly competition amongst your peers, counterparts, and real life competitors. Present your talents/professional craft in gingerbread form!

THE SETTING:

The community will be positioned on a 8ft x 12ft structure.
20 build sites nestled amongst the trees on the shores of a pristine glacial lake in Northern MN.
A winter wonderland, Woods to Water & Copper Creek Landscaping will be bringing this lake community to life with a Christmas tree farm, a skating rink, ice fishing, & more winter staples.

GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION:

+ Company/Team will complete and deliver a freestanding gingerbread house reminiscent of a modern and/or rustic Minnesota Lake Home, extra kudos for it reflecting your company’s staple design/build approach.

+ No artificial materials are to be used on the facade of the home. Although, the structure itself may be artificial, so long as it’s hidden by consumable materials.

+ The Gingerbread home must be built within a maximum “building envelope” of 18” wide, 12” long, 15” tall or any combination of those dimensions. Elevations will differ.

+ These homes will be presented in a winter setting - feel free to add “snow” to your roofs, etc.

+ Boat Houses, sheds or fish houses are welcomed but not required.*

Completed home delivered to Woods to Water Real Estate office in Nisswa on Wednesday, November 24th, by 5:00PM. Home to be delivered on a solid surface to ensure no damage and ease of transfer to your home’s lake lot. Lake homes will be judged on craft, creativity and most realistic representation by the public.
