Gas up the boats and fire up those grills, it's our favorite holiday this weekend! 

Things may look a bit different for 2020's 4th of July celebration, but it's still the best time of year in the Brainerd Lakes Area! Although many of the traditional events have been canceled this year, Fireworks shows are still on and there's plenty of things to do around our small towns if you're looking to get out with the family. Throw us a wave if you see us out on the water or celebrating America in our sweet hometowns. God Bless America!

Tons going on in Downtown Nisswa this weekend for the whole gang, we're kicking off the 14th Annual Fall Festival! Woods to Water will have bags boards outside our office to play, come stop by and say hi anytime throughout the day. Enjoy downtown Nisswa shops, brewery, restaurants, coffee and more in your in-between rib-eating time. Check out the long list of events and activities for the day, we hope to see you tomorrow!

For me, the 4th of July brings to mind nostalgic memories of Lake Country; small town parades, pork on a stick, sunburned skin from too much lake time. The energy, excitement and pure bliss in this area, especially over the 4th of July is nothing short of contagious - once you experience “the 4th up north”, it’s just something you want to be a part of, over and over again. Even once we moved out of the area, year after year we would “head up north” or return home to celebrate the 4th of July - it’s where we always wanted to be. We love celebrating these childhood memories over and over and now we have the opportunity to pass these traditions on to our own little family.
